This opinion research report conducted by Charney Research for Counterpart International examines the progress made by Afghan civil society organizations (CSOs). The study reveals that CSO’s top priorities are providing education and programs primarily for youth and women, and promoting gender equality and human rights. Furthermore, women play a greater role in CSOs in paid and volunteer positions.
